Welcome to the Toronto Romance Writers website!

We are a dedicated group of writers in all stages of our writing careers - published, pro status, or just starting out - whose goal is to write the best in romantic fiction!

We create every kind of romance: historical, contemporary, futuristic, paranormal, romantic suspense, chick lit and inspirational.

Toronto Romance Writers was inaugurated in 1986, and this small chapter has blossomed to over 120 members today.

If you're serious about writing romance, and want to meet like-minded writers for discussion, support, advice, feedback or just a chance to get away from your computer and talk with people who understand what drives you to write, think about joining the Toronto Romance Writers. You're welcome to come as a one-time guest, at no charge (unless we are charging everyone a nominal fee for the guest speaker.)

Toronto Romance Writers has an exciting year planned for 2012. Here are some of the highlights:

• Romance 101 All Day Workshop with author Deborah Cooke, January 14 (guests welcome!)
• All Day Workshop with agent Donald Maass, June 9 (Registration will be required and an extra fee will be charged - updates will be posted here)
• Our annual romance writing contest, The Catherine, will open to entries in spring
• Our website is being redesigned
• We will be at Word on the Street in Toronto, following up our incredibly successful visits for the past two years running
